Create Security’s solar boom gates are renowned for their functionality and reliability. Standalone with no external power requirements, solar boom gates are designed for remote areas and locations where mains power and existing utilities are not easily accessible, providing an alternative to traditional 240-volt boom gate options. Powered by a custom built 24vdc motor and gearbox, our solar boom gates are rated for up to 3000 operations per day, with a lifecycle of up to 5 million operations. Battery backup is standard and the gate is configured to operate on solar power without any modifications to the controls.

Features

  • Size:  Available from 3.0m to 5.7m with the open/close time from 1 to 4 seconds.
  • Design:  2mm zinc primed and UV stable, powder coated and waterproof.
  • Colours:  The standard cabinet colour is white with a blue top.  The boom arm is white with reflective safety markers.
  • Motor: 80w torque motor, 100% duty cycle.
  • Access Control Options:  Boom gates can be operated in several ways include: Proximity Cards, Keypad Access, Remote Control, Mobile Phones and Intercom.  All boom gates can be programmed to automatically open and close at specified times.
  • Manual Control:  If there is a loss of power to the boom gate, the boom arm can be lifted easily by hand and locked in the open or closed position.

Safety Devices

  • Photoelectric Beams:  Curtain array photoelectric beams will prevent the boom arm lowering on vehicles or pedestrian if they are below the boom arm during the close cycle. This is an important safety feature where pedestrians safety is paramount.
  • Audible Buzzer:  An audible alert signifying that the boom arm is in operation.
  • Amber LED Flashing Light:  A visual alert showing that the boom arm is in operation.

Optional Extras

  • LED Safety Lights:  Visual red/green LED light bars can be added as a visual aid to assist with traffic flow. The red light stays on when the boom arm is down, and the green light is activated when the boom gate is opened.
  • Free To Exit Loop:  When a vehicle is detected to be existing the car park, the boom arm will immediately open and will automatically close once the vehicle is no longer detected.
  • Magnetic Boom Gate Lock:  100kg magnetic holding force to reduce the risk of unauthorised entry or exit by lifting or bending the boom arm.
